I had about 2 weeks between the Philippines and India, and the easiest stopover was to spend another 2 weeks in Borneo. Borneo (together with Kalimantan in Indonesia) is something I had never visited before. So the choice was quickly made. First, I landed in Brunei in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. A nice capital with plenty of good facilities, food & drinks, and interesting sights. After a few days, I crossed the border into Malaysia by car. The first city where I stayed for a day was Miri, which was enough for half a day to explore and take some photos. After Miri, I flew to Mulu National Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Borneo where you can visit the largest caves and the dense jungle, and where you always had to part of the journey by boat along the river. After Mulu, I had a few more days in Kuching before flying to India.
