Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City - South Vietnam

Photography Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City, Dalat and Mui Ne, Vietnam

Just have an amazing first week in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon, Dalat and Mui Ne. And made some awesome pictures as well of the locals, fishermen, tradesmen, businessmen and the locals as well. Hereby a photo series of the cities in southern Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City / Saigon

All travelers start in Hanoi or in the south in Ho Chi Minh City aka Saigon. Saigon (I prefer that name) is amazing of the chaos. But it is somehow chaotic order. A lot of travelers want to leave this town the day after they arrived. But I like the buzz and the chaos on the road. It is such a mix of everything. And for many a culture shock.

Dalat

Dalat is a bit colder because you’re a bit higher and sometimes colder (1000m) in the mountains. But Dalat is good do some outdoor activities. As everybody does, rent a scooter and explore the surroundings of Dalat, rice wine and silk factory visit the coffee plantations and have talk with local people. Of course you can also do some extreme sports like mountain biking and canyoning as well a trekking through the mountains and jungle. Dalat itself is very nice and laid back and there are some highlights such as the Crazy House and the night market.

Mui Ne – Local fishermen

Normally Mui Ne is hang out and relax on the beach and do some water sports. But I took an early ride in the morning to Mui Ne harbor to see the local fishermen working. It’s a kind a buzz early in the morning with the first sun rays when the fishermen coming back and sort, trade and sell their fish, lobster, oysters and other seafood to traders and local business men.
