Motorbike start Hoi An to Da Nang
Well I totally forgot to film the Hoi An – Da Nang trip (a common trip). So a false start if you asked me. But Hoi An – Da Nang ain’t far it is just 25 km. Hoi An is an ancient former Chinese town with a lot of narrow street and houses. However to touristy if you ask me. If you are curious how Hoi An looks like look at here.
Da Nang to Hue
Normally a lot of travelers do the motorbike tour from Hoi An to Hue. As mentioned above I forgot the short trip between Hoi An and Da Nang. Da Nang is just a city grown during the Vietnam war where the American army set up a base here. I stay one night in the Roll Hostel. One of the best hostel I’ve been. Such a fantastic staff and a clean hostel with a lot of atmosphere and good food. The next morning I drove the 100 km. With good weather.
Sightseeing along the way
Along the way from Hoi An to Da Nang you see the marble mountains. It is kind of a temple complex in and on top of the mountain. From Da Nang it gets really exiting visiting some temples and sacred places: such as the Lady Buddha. After you exit Da Nang you climb the mountains and the Hai Van pass. It separates the Da Nang County with the Hue. After the Hai Van pass with amazing views on both sides of the mountain I was relaxing at the beach and lakes and visit the elephant falls. At the end of the day I enter the imperial city of Hué. I check in one of the finest hostels there with the best beds: Why not hostel.
Motorvina
Thanks to Motorvina the renting company providing the bike. Because of them I traveled from Hoi An – Da Nang and Hué. Motorvina have offices in those 3 cities. Hoi An, Da Nang and Hue. So it is also possible to travel the other way around from Hué to Da Nang and Hoi An. The company provide not only the bike and the gear but also a pick up service for you big backpack. They transfer the backpack to the hostel you are sleeping on the day you arrive.
