Historic east coast
The east coast of USA, is an area with a high historic value of present day United States. The capital Boston of the early New England colonies, Philadelphia the city where the declaration of independence has been signed, New York one of the oldest cities with Dutch and English heritage and Washington present day capital. Traveling from Montréal to Boston, Massachusetts
I traveled by bus from Montréal Canada to Boston. Boston is one of my favorite cities on the east coast of the USA. Former city of the New England Colonies has a lot to offer. One of the highlight is the freedom trail. It is a hike of a few hours and brings your to several historic buildings and it ends at Bunker hill one of the famous battles between the Continental army (the rebels) and the British Army.
Washington D.C. (District Colombia)
I took the long way so I traveled south via New York city to the present capital of the USA. I saw all the famous landmarks from the media, movies and books. The big obelisk, the Vietnam war memorial, the white house, the Pentagon, Arlington, Library of Congress and the Capitool. But the most fun part is visit all the museums. Not only it is free but there is a lot to see like the national air and space museum and the national historic museum.
Philadelphia
The former capital of the United States. The city where the first flag (supposingly) has been made and raised during the war for independence. And the most important of all in Independence hall where the declaration of independence has been signed. Narrow streets and historic building to learn a lot more about the US history. And of course don’t forget climb the stairs of the museum art and feel yourself like Rocky.
New York City
One of the famous, creative and influential cities in the world. New York City. The city of the 5 boroughs has such an appeal it supposed to be one of the mixed and blended cities of the USA. Get lost in a grid of the high buildings, see some art in different museums like the Guggenheim or museum of natural history. Or just see the people how they live in the city.
